In its widest scope, art criticism means putting the experience of art into words. Yet what does the critic do when she or he makes claims about art? What kind of text and writing is criticism? How does one find the right words about art; is there something to be called ‘objective criticism’, and what does the critic’s responsibility for his or her words entail?
These and related topics will be discussed by art critic and photographer Helen Korpak and writer and graphic designer Johannes Ekholm. The discussion will be moderated by PhD Martta Heikkilä.
The conversation will take place in Finnish. All welcome!
